Introduction
This website would be giving information about the ocean's surface. The ocean's surface has all to do with the vast open ocean, the pelagic realm. It lacks solid physical structures, no place for attachment, no bottom for burrowing, and nothing to hide behind. This ocean surface is always covered with water and never touches the ground. The ocean surface is divided into two parts: the epipelagic waters that lie over the continental shelf (netric), and the oceanic part that lies beyond the continental shelf. The pelagic realm's environment is the water column away from the bottom or the shore. The pelagic lacks the solid physical structure provided by the bottom and other geological features or by large organisms like corals and kelp. The epipelagic, or upper pelagic, realm is often the zone from the surface to the depth; it's the warmest and the most lit. It is divided into netric waters, which lie over the continental shelf and oceanic waters beyond the shelf. The photic zone is similar to the epipelagic because its the layer from the depth where light limits photosynthesis production. This vast open ocean is important because it regulates our climate, conditions our atmosphere, and provides food and other resources.
This section of water has many unique characteristics. In this website it will inform you of the:
-Abiotic Factors in the surface
-Adaptations of Organisms living in the surface
-Biodiversity high or low?
-Specific Organisms living in the surface
-Trophic Levels which one play important roles
-Energy Pyramids how energy moves
-Food Webs
-Population Growth
-Human Impacts
-Nutrient Cycles carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus cycle
